Milk produced by Tasmanian devil moms might help fight superbugs

University of Sydney researchers say milk produced by female Tasmanian devils could yield new tools in the fight against antimicrobial resistance. They found peptides in the milk are effective against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, vancomycin-resistant enterococcus, and the milk also has anti-fungal properties, according to the paper in Scientific Reports.BBC (10/18)
