New York state mandates written care directions fo owners of certain animals

Who is writing these directions for the pet stores to hand out? And frogs aren’t reptiles.

New York state made it mandatory for pet retailers to provide written or digital animal care instructions to people who purchase hamsters, guinea pigs, chinchillas, gerbils, mice, rabbits, rats, ferrets and small amphibians or reptiles such as frogs, lizards and snakes. The law went into effect in March and is the first of its kind in the nation, according to the AVMA.
