Albino gator passes annua physical exam with flying colors

A 19-year-old albino alligator named Alabaster passed his physical exam this week. Veterinarians and herpetologists at the South Carolina Aquarium conducted the exam, noting Alabaster has gained 20 pounds and grown 3 inches since he was last checked a year ago. Albinism is rare in gators, and most born with the characteristic die within 24 hours. Discovery (11/11)
