Canine pets trained to search for elusive Australian predator

Pet dogs are helping track tiger quolls, an important apex predator in areas of Australia. Four dogs and their owners have learned to identify the small mammal so researchers can learn more about them and the ecosystem and develop possible interventions to protect the species.
