Veterinarian helps bald eagle soar again

Veterinarian Belinda Burwell and her team at the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center outside of Washington, D.C., believe they will rescue and rehabilitate around 2,000 animals this year. In the past year, they’ve helped return 10 bald eagles alone to the wild. In a recent case, a bald eagle was released after eight weeks at the clinic, where it was treated for trauma after likely being hit by a car. The facility also treats mammals, reptiles and other wild animals.
